Some of you may remember the original impact that Mirror’s Edge 1 had. It was the first of its kind. No only was it a first person (semi) “shooter”, it also infused a new kind of movement system synonymous with the movement art form “Parkour”.
The fluidity of the gaming engine as well as the highly polished graphics gave the original Xbox game a classification of its own. Granted some players had a mixed feeling about the lack of actual gun control while running around the levels, although it was a different kind of experience to enjoy.
Mirrors Edge 2 will bring elements of the original gaming experience, whereby the main character Faith will be scaling the grand landscape engaging in close quarter combat with enemies as well as seeking cover from open gun fire and achieving objectives.
News of the squeal was first announced at from senior producer Sara Jansson with the E3 trailer officially circulating around the internet. Watch this space for more updates on Mirrors Edge 2.
